Welcome to The Diaries of El Gato! My name is Linda Hillmer, and I’m the creator, writer, and editor behind the madness.
While I’m not a digital native (I was born back when color TV was still a new concept!), I spent a good portion of my career as a video producer… back in the days when rendering a single image took hours and special effects required an entire team!
When my husband and I retired, we spent five years living full-time in a motorcoach, searching the country for the perfect place to settle down. We ended up in Tucson, but every summer we hit the road again to escape the heat, bringing along our two dogs and our cat, Frankie (AKA El Gato).
Frankie loves the RV lifestyle, provided he can stay safely inside and silently judge the world from behind the windshield.
What started as a fun travel journal shared with close friends quickly took on a life of its own. Encouraged by their support, I decided to blend my video background with pet comedy to create The Diaries of El Gato.
My guiding mission for taking this project public is simple: to make the world a slightly better place through shared laughter and joy. Thanks for coming along for the ride!
